Happy Hump Day everybody! Well the weather outside is definitely frightful and we have come to the part of the year where trying to remain stylish while keeping warm becomes difficult. Some days it’s all about survival am I right? Bundling up with leather and a scarf is one way to achieve some sort of style when it comes to cold weather. This is currently one of my favorite scarves. I have worn it a ton this fall, and I have a feeling that it is going to be on repeat this winter as well. This particular scarf is sold out, but I am going to link up some of my other favorites for you below.
burgundy scarf: Nasty Gal {sold out, love this one!} // black leather jacket: old {Similar style here, here and here}// burgundy tunic: Nordstrom// black denim: Joe’s Jeans {save option here and splurge here}// ankle boots: Ivanka Trump Carver Pointy Toe Boot// crossbody bag: Marc Jacobs// Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Today is a special day because we are celebrating my oldest son’s birthday. Today he turns 13! I can’t believe that I have a teenager! I have to take this opportunity to brag on him a little bit and say how incredibly proud of him I am. A lot of you know that he is a competitive swimmer that swims 7 days a week, but he is also a straight A student and the sweetest red head that you will ever meet. This is so amazing to me considering how far he has come in life. My son was born 4 weeks early and spent the first week of his life away from me in the NICU. As a parent, that was the hardest thing I ever had to do. He couldn’t breathe or eat on his own, but he made amazing strides in that one week and he continues to amaze me everyday of his life. This day always reminds me of how lucky I am to be his mom and just how much I love him.
Have an amazing day!
