Happy Monday, everyone! I hope that you had a lovely Easter weekend and that the Easter bunny was good to you. Ours was very laid back, we went to church then had brunch at our house, with my homemade waffles, of course! (I shared my recipe here if you missed it!) The boys had an egg hunt in the backyard and the grandparents gave them too much candy, shocking I know. Overall a good day.
The weather here has been really up and down, we are trying to do Spring, but as Blaire mentioned the pollen is setting in and everything is turning yellow and nasty. Plus, it’s still cool at times so a sweater is necessary. I am in love with this tomato red sweater. We usually don’t think about wearing red during the Spring, because it’s all about pastels, but this is really the best red for the season. It’s not a blue red, but more an orange red and gives off such a happy vibe. Yep, I am claiming tomato red a happy red.

If you haven’t noticed, Blaire and I have totally different body types. She is about 3 to 4 inches taller than me and has thin legs. I am shorter and have muscular legs. So what looks great on her doesn’t always look good on me and vice versa. Hence, one of the reasons that we started the blog, to show how to dress for your body type, no matter what it is. That being said, I have always struggled with wearing shorts because of my legs. They are not fat, but they are bigger than the normal 5’1″ person that wears a size 2. So buying shorts can be a challenge, to say the least. I usually have just shied away from them and worn dresses or skirts. That’s where my love of dresses has come from, more of necessity than anything else. Lately I have been able to find shorts that actually make my legs look good and that I feel comfortable in. The secret, wider legs, duh! Finally, they are making shorts that have wider legs, not just skinny legged shorts that cling to me and make me look like I am 10,000 lbs. Anyway, I thought I would share my struggle with you , so if anyone else has the same problem, you’re not alone. We will find shorts that look good on us, I promise! If you have a pair that you love, please share. I am always on the hunt!
