You guys, I have probably had this camel coat for over 10 years! It is, and always will be one of my favorites. I pull it out year after year and it is a classic piece that will never go out of style. It is the coat that every woman needs in her wardrobe. I will admit that it is time to update because it has seen it’s share of winter days, so I have linked up several similar coats way down below that are winter classics. I’m hoping to snag one during the after Christmas sales. I have my eye on this one, and this one!

This has been one hectic week around my house, and we just can’t seem to get it together for the holidays. We are replacing the carpet in the boy’s rooms, so the upstairs of my house is complete chaos while we await the carpet install. We also had a major Christmas emergency Monday night when our Christmas tree came crashing down!! Yep, you read that right. My daughter and I had just finished putting the garland on the tree and I left the room to finish making dinner, when the next thing I knew, the entire tree fell over! There were broken ornaments everywhere! Not to mention a frightened little girl who immediately burst into tears at the Christmas carnage. It was seriously a scene out of National Lampoon’s Christmas vacation. It was so heartbreaking to see precious ornaments broken right before my eyes. My husband was a complete hero and was able to get the tree back up with minimal damage to the rest of the ornaments, all while making me smile with Griswold quotes “the little lights aren’t twinkling Clarke”.
Needless to say the damn thing is now wired to the wall, and no one is allowed to go near it. Hopefully we can get the carpet in and finish decorating the house for the holidays before December 25th! Merry Christmas. Where’s the Tylenol?
