I am such a sucker for a good J. Crew Factory dress. They are always a great price and the quality is on par with J. Crew. So when I saw this cute seersucker dress for under $30 I knew it would be a perfect summer staple. And boy was I right! I have worn it 3x already! The back ties but still allows me to wear a bra and it doesn’t show. I highly recommend picking this one up before summer’s over. You’ll thank me later. It also comes in fire red which is so cute too!

On July 1st, the state of Georgia passed a “No Cellphone Usage” while driving law. And I have not abided by it, at all. I am so guilty of pulling up to a stoplight and changing the music or replying to a text. Well on Thursday, I got caught. I was texting (or maybe looking at Instagram), while at a red light and a police officer pulled up right next to me and turned on his lights. I smiled, waved and put down my phone only for him to ask me to roll down my window. He in his police voice said that I was in violation of the no cell phone law and that it was a $400 ticket.
As I was taking my lecture, my 3 year old is in the back yelling “HELLO Mr. Policeman!” and waving frantically. I nicely interrupted him to ask if I could roll down my window because my toddler wanted to say hi. He was so excited to see him that it was basically impossible for the officer to give me a ticket at that point. So, I got off with a warning. Bonus for having kids.
So I have been driving without looking at my phone and it’s so hard! I didn’t realize how much I do it when I am stopped. It’s kind of a blessing that this happened because it’s so not safe and I really don’t want to have to pay $400. My husband may kill me!
