How to Wear A Black Maxi Dress for Summer

I have always had a black maxi dress in my closet for as long as I can remember. It’s the perfect dress to have for any summer occasion because you can dress it up or down. This particular one is a favorite of mine. It’s been in my closet for a while now, and I decided to give it a fresh new style by knotting it in the front. I was inspired by all of the knotted tops that have been everywhere this summer. It’s such a fun detail to add, especially in the summer time. I love the look so much that I have done it to just about every dress that I own including a similar one to this one.

We had a huge Summer storm come through on Monday night that gave us all a scare. A ginormous Oak Tree fell across our yard and landed in the driveway. Luckily, nothing was damaged. It came within inches from hitting my car, and just barely landed a few feet from our neighbors house. The only thing that got hurt were a couple of Hydrangea bushes. I cannot believe how lucky we got. This monster really could have done some damage had it fallen in any other direction. I don’t know about you guys, but I am so tired of these daily summer storms wreaking havoc on everything. Hopefully things will dry out soon, and we can enjoy a dry August.
