With Valentine’s Day this weekend and all things red and heart shaped around us, my mind can’t help but gravitate towards the City of Love, Paris. I am in awe of the simplistic chicness of the French women. Their style is so classic and feminine, but also so basic, which is what makes it so fabulous. If I am having trouble finding something to wear, I tend to choose this style because of its timelessness and the fact that it will work for most all occasions. This time of year it is really hard to dress. We are all longing for Spring, but still have to put up with the cold weather, and let’s face it, we are over our winter clothes. So dressing in a classic look is a great way to get over the hump. The key to Parisian Chic is to pull together very tailored pieces in a neutral color palette. The look is very structured, not sloppy or overdone, just clean looking. So don’t be shocked if you see more of this look from me in the weeks to come, it is all I want to wear!

It is freezing here this week, we even had snow a couple of days. Nothing exciting, it didn’t even stick. So no school closings or anything. It always seems like the moment that I am so over my closet is when the weather turns cold and winter sets in for real. I am longing to wear cute dresses and sandals again. Hopefully soon.
