Decorating a bedroom with new art

This summer we did a whole house renovation and added a master suite onto our home. With the new baby, we really needed more space and let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to design their own master suite. We have been in the house a few months now and love our new space, but when you get a new space, you also need all new stuff, right?! So I have been working on decorating all of our new rooms with new furniture, decor and of course art. The art has been a bit of a challenge for me. We really needed a large piece for above our bed and I was having trouble finding one that was large enough to fill the space, not look small with the high ceiling and be in the color scheme that we wanted. So when I found this piece on Minted Art I was elated! It’s the perfect size and the colors are just breathtaking! They have been my go-to for paper products and birthday supplies for years, seriously, they have the BEST stuff, but Art wasn’t something that I had looked into. All the pieces that they have are stunning and it really was hard to choose! They feature pieces from independent artists from all over the world, so you’re not getting something cookie cutter, it’s a beautiful piece of original art. This one is called Twisted Horizon by Amanda Cunningham from Virginia. I am in love with her work, there are so many pieces that I want to put in my house. I included a snap of my bathroom as well, because it is my favorite part of the house. I have to admit that my kids have used the tub more than I have, but I am hoping that will change soon. The rest of the house is coming along. I am still working on my son’s airplane room and putting pictures up in places, that is when I find the right ones! I hopefully will share more soon.
