Pattern mixing is so much fun to do in the fall because there are so many layering pieces to work with. Buffalo plaid is a great pattern to mix because it’s simple and goes well with more bold colorful patterns, like this red plaid scarf. They don’t overpower one another, therefore creating the perfect balance. You don’t want one to dominate the other, because it will look messy. Buffalo Plaid Shirt: old (similar here, here & here) // Red Plaid Scarf: fab’rik (also here) // Booties: Sole Society // Jeans: Joe’s Jeans // Purse: Tory Burch York Tote c/o Shopbop // Link Bracelet: J. It rained all weekend again here. I know that this is our wet hurricane season, but come on! The sun just teases us by peeking out behind the clouds for about 3 seconds, then the sky turns gray and it pours for what seems like forever. I feel like I am trapped in my house lately, just itching to get out. I have done way too much online shopping because of it! Seriously, have you shopped the Nordstrom sale (see our picks here) yet?! I got a call from my amazing BFF (you may know her, she’s a brunette) asking about a pair of OTK boots that she had in her cart and I kid you not, they were on my iPad screen at that exact second! One of us got them and it’s a good thing that we wear the same size!
Also, I love love love this buffalo plaid shirt, but it is of course long gone. So I linked up some other fantastic options below, some are even under $20!
Please don’t be shocked if you see another Instagram with us wearing our Hunter Boot’s, again. Seriously, it’s been a mess here and it’s all I have had on my feet for 2 weeks. We were lucky and got these shots in before the rain hit the other day.
I hope you’re having a wonderful Monday!
