As you may have heard, there is a storm headed this way named Irma. You may have, it’s kinda a big deal. Every time we turn on the TV all we see on the weather report is red. They say that they don’t really know what it’s actually going to do. So of course, us Southerners, in true Southern form, panic. We don’t like uncertain weather. Even though hurricanes are the norm for us this time of year. We make a mad dash to the grocery store and buy up all the milk and bread. Why we buy milk, I am not sure, because if the power goes out it’s going to spoil, but we do. I buy wine and can goods, but hey to each their own. Blaire says that if anything happens they are coming to my house because I have a stockpiled freezer and pantry.
It seems ironic that today, September 11th we are facing another disaster. Our prayers go out to those in Florida who have suffered the wrath or Irma and for everyone in it’s continued path. We will see how today fares for us here in Atlanta. The storm is supposed to be dying down, but we are still expecting strong winds and possible tornadoes.
We also want to extend prayers for all of the men and women who’s job it is to aid those effected. Who drove into the storm to help those in need and to care for the aftermath. Your courage is unwavering and your compassion is immeasurable, thank you.
I feel kind of silly talking about how cute my top is and how much I love my military jacket today, with everything going on. Especially when it’s so close to home. So sorry for the seriousness of this post. But I really have fallen in love with tomato red this year. This is the 3rd top I have bought in this color. Even though it’s bright, it goes with so many neutrals. Plus it’s great on game days!
