I just love this easy drapey sweater vest. It has so many styling options that it was hard to narrow it down. I went with my favorite red and black plaid shirt because after this weekend, Georgia is #3 in the rankings! But it could easily go with a dress, a cute blouse or even a chambray shirt. See, endless possibilities.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the devastating fires in Northern California. I was born there, my dad and family still live there. My husband and I had our first vacation as a couple in Napa and I will always call it home.
My heart is breaking over the mass destruction that has happened to such a beautiful place. But what is also bothering me is that I feel like we are over all the tragedy now. With Houston, Florida, Vegas and now California I feel like people are just starting to get numb. I have yet to see a #prayforCalifornia on social media. Maybe it’s just my feed, which I am really hoping is the case.
I mean I get it, lately we have had a lot of painful destruction in our country. I packed up a SUV full of supplies, water and clothes and had them sent to Houston. I donated to Hurricane Harvey and also to a gofundme account for Vegas victim, Tina Frost. It seems like it’s never ending. But I just don’t want us to lose steam just because it’s a lot.
There are so many people that lost everything. They have no home to go home to. No walls or floors, just rubble and dirt. They had no real warning, they just had to get out with what they could. And there are still over 200 people unaccounted for.
So all I am asking is for you to remember those people in your prayers, as well as the firefighters who are dealing with the fire and the aftermath. And if you can, please help.
Below is a list of a few ways you can help. Here is also the link to the Sac Bee that breaks down a ton of ways and what is needed.

Thank you for bringing attention to the NOCAL issues/devastation. I’m actually going to be sharing a story about it tomorrow that gives me goosebumps just thinking about it! There has been so much tragedy this year that it does feel overwhelming at times!
That red is so cheerful and would even be great for Christmas! I appreciate you taking the time to share links and raise awareness. Always a necessary thing to do!

Thanks for the reminder about California, there are just so many tragedies it is overwhelming. I cannot believe what is happening these days! I just can’t imagine what it’s like for those firefighters, never getting a break. God bless them all I pray there’s an end in sight to this destruction.

Such a wonderful fall look! I love that vest!
Loving this whole look, especially those peep toe booties! My heart is breaking for NoCal, as we were just there a few months ago and fell in love with the area. My prayers are with everyone still struggling in Puerto Rico, Vegas, and California. Hoping we don’t hear anything devastating in the news for a long time <3

This is a great drapey sweater vest. What an awesome Old Navy find! The fires in California are just awful. The area holds a special place in our hearts, too: we have been to Napa so many times and even went there on our honeymoon. Thanks for sharing these ways to help out.
