Navy blue is my favorite color. I have worn it religiously since I was about 7 and I am always drawn to navy blue pieces. You all know my love for peplum, so when I saw this cute top, it was a no brainer. The material is very thin and lightweight. Which is perfect for the end of Summer heat and for layering into the Fall. I love all the embroidered detailing and the cute ruffle sleeves. Again, a total weakness of mine.
Last week was a bit of a disaster. I realized that trying to do it all and over-scheduling things, because we don’t want to miss out was a mistake. Sadly, we were at a play-date at the pool and my youngest was tired and fell head first into a pool chair breaking his front tooth in half and splitting his lip open in multiple places. Not bad enough for stitches, but some pretty good gashes.
The dentist said that there was no nerve damage on the tooth and that we would repair it when he is 4. We have to wait because doing a repair on a 2 year old is quite difficult. Which I can understand, I can barely get him to brush his teeth. So I doubt that we could get him to open his mouth that long to repair a broken tooth. He’s going to have to live with half a front tooth until then. Not a big deal, but not an ideal situation either. But if that’s the worst that we got, I will take it.
I hope that I can get a handle on how to deal with two very active boys. They are so good, but they are also really busy and get away from me at times. I am having some mom guilt on this and feel awful that it happened right beside me. In the end he is ok, and that’s all that matters.
