There are a few items in my closet that are always a perennial favorite in my opinion.  A good pair of tall black boots is an example of one such item.  I am pretty picky when it comes to picking black boots, but these block heel boots from Banana Republic are perfect.  They can easily be dressed up or down for a variety of looks.  For this post, I decided to dress them up.  This would be a great outfit idea for Thanksgiving dinner, or any other dressy occasion that you may have coming up this fall.  You really can’t beat a classic pair of tall black boots for the fall and winter, so go ahead and check them out here.  They fit true to size and come in black leather as well as a gorgeous tan suede!

I can’t believe that we are already half way through October!  Like I said before, October is one of my favorite months of the year, and I am sad that it’s going by so fast.  We have been so busy that we haven’t’ been able to do any of the fun activities that we usually do like visiting a pumpkin patch.  We will hopefully get to go this Sunday if the weather cooperates.  I’m praying that the weather holds out so we can also visit Mercier Orchards up in Blue Ridge Georgia and grab the world’s best Apple Pie with the kiddos.  It’s become a family tradition to go and they always seem to add more and more to do each year.  We love it!

    I hope you get to go to the pumpkin patch and have apple pie – that sounds like so much fun! I am loving this look for Fall – the skirt is perfect with those boots and I love that necklace!

    Hi – do you have suggestions for those of us who love boots but can’t do a high heel? If I wear low heeled black boots, I feel like one of the rebel fighters from Star Wars! 🙂 Seriously though…can you even do low boots with a pencil skirt?
