A t-shirt and jeans is one of my favorite outfits. I mostly wear it casually, but when you have a good tee, you can dress it up for a great night out look. This t-shirt is from the Nordstrom Sale, and I have to say I love it more than last year’s version; which I have in two colors. It’s a little bit longer in the front and half tucks perfectly. It is back in stock and even though it’s not at the sale price, it’s still a great deal at $25. I can’t wait to layer it in the Fall, as well.
We had a very random weekend. Friday night my husband and I watched Passengers and went to bed at 10. (I know old people.) He’d been traveling all week and I was with the kids trying to keep them alive, so we were exhausted. Saturday, we had my oldest’s 1st soccer game. He really wasn’t very impressed with it, and that is OK with us, since neither of us know anything about the game. Then we did a Home Depot run followed by a grocery store run, which allowed my husband to see how crazy it is to take 2 kids to the store! And they weren’t even bad! Big praises for the cookie lady!
Sunday is where things went random. We started out with nothing on the agenda, but by the end of the night I had a new couch and a house full of people. My FIL knew a guy that was giving a way a new Ethan Allen couch because they couldn’t get it up the stairs of the 3rd story. So instead of selling it, they were going to give it to Good Will. Well my husband was all over that and the next thing I know we have this couch and I am trying to figure out what to do with it. I think he would have taken it even if it was ugly. He heard new and free. Where I’m like um, does it go with anything in our house? You would’ve thought that I was asking him the dumbest question in the world. I then tried to explain to him decor and flow and his eyes glazed over. I kindly gave in knowing that I would sell it if I hated it.
We ended up moving the playroom couch downstairs and getting rid of an old couch, then putting the new one in the playroom. But of course the playroom needs to be reconstructed and we spent most of the night moving furniture and organizing. Which makes me what to go and get a bazillion new bins to put toys into. How do our kids have this much stuff! What’s even funnier is that he actually thinks that it’s going to stay nice and organized past tomorrow afternoon. I give it till after breakfast, then it’s going to be a disaster!
