Over the years I have had a lot of camel coats. I love them and can honestly say that they are my favorite winter piece. This year I had to replace my beloved long camel coat because I set the sleeve on fire. Long story, all was ok, except for my coat. So when I found this topcoat at J. Crew Factory for under $120 I knew that I had to have it. I love that it’s darker camel and that it’s more of a topcoat. Unfortunately this one is sold out in camel, but they have it in navy and I did find a super similar one for around the same price.

Well the South got snow for the first time this year and like usual it was an overreaction. We got about 1/4″ of ice and the roads were dry by noon. Sadly, we cancelled my son’s birthday party, just to be on the safe side. I really wish that I hadn’t because the storm really was a joke. No wonder everyone makes fun of us, the news gets us all fired up and hypes the storm up to 3-4″ only to have it be a total bust. I can’t tell you how mad I was to wake up and see that it had barely snowed on Saturday morning. Luckily we were able to reschedule the party for this Saturday, and my sweet son wasn’t too disappointed.
